For The Bride
Your wedding day is YOUR day to shine. So shine, be relaxed and enjoy every second. Interact with your photographer, remember this is how your day is captured. Show your emotions, and play out?your wedding day the way you always wanted it!
Ham it up! If you feel silly… you’re having fun and your pictures will be a million times more interesting. Work that day like it’s a red-carpet premiere and you are the star.
During the ceremony, try not to have your backs to the guests the whole time. They want to see your face and your reactions; so does your photographer!
The old beauty pageant secret of a bit of Vaseline on the front of your teeth can help you smile more easily and realistically in photos.
Make sure your family and bridal party are aware of the time they are supposed to be at your wedding venue for portraits; a reminder the morning of can be helpful.
Some of the best wedding photos happen in the “staging areas” or dressing rooms of the facilities where the services will be held. Brides, if you are checking out a facility for your event be sure to ask for a tour of these areas. Your photographer will appreciate spaces with little or no clutter, natural light or good ambient light and areas with a little extra room for equipment. If you want to have great photos of getting into your dress, grooms gearing up for the ceremony or family getting into the spirit of the day, you will be so glad you asked!
Some couples don’t like showing affection in public. Let this one day be an exception. The photos will tell you for years to come why you fell in love and married this special person.”
Dance! Pull your girls onto the dance floor and have fun! Remember this day is about creating memories too!
Remember your photographer when ordering your food. They have spent hours capturing your every moment and you don’t want them to pass out on you! Generally I will make myself a plate after everyone else while there is a moment.
